What gets you up in the morning?

I would say coffee, because I’m a coffee fan, but also the idea to take every day as a learning opportunity.

How did you react when you learnt you had won our scholarship?

I was extremely happy, grateful and relieved, I almost cried in tears. I remember being grateful because I realized that somebody actually recognized my hard work and believed in me. Relieved because I wouldn’t have to worry about paying for my studies and I could fully dedicate myself to my academic career.

What do Innovation and Sustainability mean to you?

Innovation means thinking outside the box to tackle everyday problems and very complex situations in a creative way. Sustainability means on one side environmental sustainability, so caring about our planet and the environment; on the other side social sustainability, and therefore valuing differences and inclusion.

What do you love the most about your degree so far?

I like the environment in class, which is a bit competitive (but in a good way) and extremely stimulating. Moreover, I also appreciate the high-quality offering of the university: we have professors, researchers, but also professionals, ex-professionals and guest speakers.

What 3 words describe you best?

Determined, open minded and curious.

And how do other people describe you?

Funny, meticulous (maybe too much sometimes) and a bit bossy.

What 3 things would you like to accomplish this year?

Travel to six countries. So far, I have three trips in mind: Portugal, Austria and Germany. I would also like to land an internship in a field of my interest, that is consulting in technology and sustainability. Lastly, I would like to dedicate myself to others more, for example starting some volunteering activities in a local community center, maybe teaching younger children.

Which country has stolen your heart?

Norway. This is why I took part in my exchange program during my Bachelor’s and I fell in love with this country for its people, its landscape and its culture.

What would your ideal superpower be?

The ability to speak and understand any language.

What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?

My grandmother once told me: «Never give up, do your best and work hard to reach your goals. Never get to the point where you regret you could have done more».
