Since the 2025/2026 academic year, the Dompé Foundation has expanded its commitment in the United States through the Renato Ugo Scholarship, established in honor of the internationally renowned chemist and prominent figure in the Italian and global scientific community.
Now in its second edition, the program will award two scholarships to students and researchers of all nationalities who are already enrolled in, or have been admitted to, a Master’s, PhD, or postdoctoral program in Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, or Pharmaceutical Chemistry at U.S.-based universities and research institutions.
Through this initiative, the Dompé Foundation aims to support talented young researchers in a strategic area of scientific research, while further strengthening the longstanding academic and scientific ties between Italy and the United States, in partnership with AIRI (Associazione Italiana per la Ricerca Industriale), which Professor Renato Ugo led as President from 1983 to 2019.
