Academic support: Fondazione Dompé allocates over €2.6 Million to foster scientific talent between Italy and the United States

For the 2025/2026 academic year, 56 STEM scholarships will be awarded in Italy and the U.S.

Fondazione Dompé continues its commitment to the knowledge economy by supporting high-level education on an international scale.

Fondazione Dompé has announced the allocation of 56 new scholarships for the 2025/2026 academic year, aimed at supporting second- and third-level university studies in STEM disciplines. The total investment amounts to €2.64 million.

The scholarship program remains a cornerstone of Fondazione Dompé’s mission: to promote access to advanced education and contribute to the development of the scientific and technological skills required to address global challenges — with a strong emphasis on multidisciplinarity, international exchange, research, and innovation.


In Italy: 32 Scholarships and New PhD Opportunities
With an investment of €1,275,000, Fondazione Dompé will fund 32 scholarships at some of Italy’s leading universities. Notably, the partnership with the University of Pavia has been further strengthened with eight scholarships for the Master’s Degree in Medical and Pharmaceutical Biotechnologies, along with three new three-year PhD scholarships — worth a total of €225,000 — in Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Industrial Innovation.

Other supported programs include the six-year Master’s Degree from the MedTec School, a joint initiative by Humanitas University and Politecnico di Milano. Scholarships will also support graduate students enrolled in Cellular and Molecular Biotechnology at the University of Trento, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology at the University of Bologna, Bioengineering at the University of Padua, Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine at the University of Bari, and Biomedical Omicsat the University of Milan – Statale.

In the United States: 24 Scholarships in Honor of Rita Levi Montalcini
For the U.S. market, Fondazione Dompé has allocated €1,363,636 to fund 24 scholarships dedicated to Professor Rita Levi Montalcini, Nobel Laureate in Medicine. These grants will support students admitted to Master’s, PhD, or Research Fellowship programs in neuroscience or neurobiology at U.S. universities.


A Growing Impact
With this latest initiative, Fondazione Dompé has awarded over 240 scholarships since 2020, bringing its total investment in higher education in Italy and the United States to more than €13.5 million.
